Dr Zethu Mtimkulu is an Obstetrics and Gynecologist in private practice based in Cape Town. Post FCOG qualification, she joined the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at UCT as a part-time lecturer while practicing medicine. Dr Mtimkulu’s dedication to women’s issues is demonstrated by her active engagement in nonprofit initiatives. She serves as Deputy Chairperson for the

Western Cape branch of the Circle of Global Business Women, an NPO that aims to empower women through networking, collaboration, and innovation. In addition, she is the founder of Siphisizwe Foundation, an NPO focused on uplifting, motivating, and inspiring women from all walks of life, with an emphasis on authenticity and opportunities for early career professionals. The foundation offers strategic support for members’ development through mentorship programmes that promote inclusion and diversity in their chosen fields of interest. Dr Mtimkulu holds a BSc (Mathematics, Chemistry, and Zoology), and MBChB, FCOG (SA) with a special interest in Aesthetic and Functional Gynaecology from the University of Cape Town. She has also earned certificates from the Women in Leadership course (University of Stellenbosch) and Entrepreneurship course (GIBS)
